What is Card Coin?
A stylish iOS and Android app for AI price estimates on Pokémon TCG and sports cards, with a focus on privacy. We have no interest in where you are, who you are, or what you search for. That’s your business. It’s a simple tool we built as collectors — sister app to Comic Coin — and thought others in the hobby might want to use it.
Why did you make Card Coin?
We collect cards — TCG and sports — and wanted the same clean, fast lookup experience we built for comics, tuned for binders and slabs instead of longboxes. Most tools bury you in charts, listings, and six taps before you see a number. We wanted ballpark value at a show or while scrolling an auction, without babysitting API keys.
Card Coin is AI-driven only. No BYOK market-data path. You pick model quality to balance speed and estimate accuracy. Scan to fill keeps entry fast when you’re staring at a stack of cards.
TLDR: We made it for ourselves. Financial gain is not the driver. Features roll out for everyone when we need them in our own collecting lives.
Is there a BYOK or PriceCharting path?
No. Unlike Comic Coin, Card Coin does not support bring-your-own-key market APIs. Estimates come from AI only. That keeps the app simple: no tokens to paste, no third-party subscription required to get a read.

You don’t have to pay for Card Coin to start. You can run a set of AI price searches every ~30 days at zero cost — free app, free lookups in that rolling window. If you want more AI power or higher quotas later, paid options may arrive; until then the free tier is designed for real hobby use, not a five-minute demo.
What does AI model quality do?
You choose how hard the model works for each estimate. Lighter settings are faster and thriftier on quota feel; stronger settings aim for better accuracy when the card is high-value or the comps are messy. Same privacy model either way — you’re not wiring your own LLM key.
What is Scan to fill?
Optional camera/gallery flow: on-device text recognition reads a card face and suggests form fields (name, set, etc.). OCR can miss or misread — always review before searching. Scan images are not uploaded to Card Coin for recognition.
Are estimates appraisals?
No. Results are informational AI guesstimates, not formal appraisals, guarantees of sale price, or investment advice. Always verify before buying or selling — especially on graded slabs and chase cards.
Does my search history leave my phone?
No. Recent searches stay local. You can retry, reload into the form, or delete entries anytime.
Is Card Coin on iOS and Android?
Yes — one Flutter app for both platforms. Use the platform switch (or the links in Card Locker) to preview screenshots for each.
How do I get support?
